i took her out, it was a friday night, i wore cologne, to get the feeling right

I interviewed Jaycee Chan today.

He liked me.

Now before you think I'm conceited, come on let me explain:

He did a series of interviews today and I was his last, when he was about to talk to me, he was on the phone with his friends and I could tell he couldn't wait to get the hell outta there. So I told him "don't worry yo I'll make this quick".

I didn't ask him any questions about his dad, in fact, aside from mentioning "your dad was on our cover a few months back" there was no mentioning of he-who-has-shiny-hair.

We spoke in English and talked like a two typical California dudes. It was hilarious cause the Emperor PRs like to sit in for the interviews to make sure we don't ask anything too out of line (like when I was talking to Ah Sa, the PR girl was literally IN MY FACE to make sure I don't get too outta line asking about Ah Gil). But because Jaycee and I were speaking in Cali talk with slangs, the PR had this blank look on her like she dunno what the hell was going on. Jaycee not only talks Cali, he talks 90s Cali. Every other word was "man", "pissed", "naw", and he even threw in "jacked".

"Always make sure you keep money in your wallet and your luggage," he says when I ask him about travel tips. "Just in case you get jacked."

I LOL'ED when that happened. Not since 1999 have I heard the term "jacked" (cholos at my school "diiiiick you got jackeeeed")

Then we got into Michael Jackson. Jaycee said he wanted to "bitch slap" those people talking bad about MJ. I countered with "no, I think you must respect him as a musician, but you have a right to be freaked out by his personal life."

He then said "oh yeah, that's fine. I mean I want to bitch slap those who were talking trash before his death and then suddenly became a big fan again after".

THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I'VE BEEN PREACHING THE LAST WEEK OR TWO! I hate bandwagon ass-cats flip floppers. If you were freaked out by him before, you can't back away from that and act like you've always loved him just cause he died!! I wrote about this shit on my blog last week, Bill Simmons wrote about in his blog, and then Jaycee Chan takes it two levels further and wants to bitch slap y'all.

We talked about the HK film industry. He said he gets so many scripts he doesn't even look at it; he'll just call up other actors around his age and ask what it's about because he says the same script is offered to like, the same group of actors over and over. Everytime he gets a script he can just call Nic Tse or Wilson Chen (the taiwan dude with the awesome hair) and they'll be like "yeah man I got that script too". Hilarious.

Then we talked about music and after ten minutes, we were done.

No stupid questions about whether or not he's dating Fiona Sit (I know he is, and he wins. She's cute), no questions about his dad because at this point he's heard it 4 million times, and no stupid irrelevant questions that local media asks.

As we finished, we shook hands, then he walked to talk to PR chicks. Before he left he looked back at me and said "Yo Ben, thanks man"

Yup, he likes me.

Almost as much as Emma Lee Moss did last week. (Ha. I wish...)

Speaking of Ah Gil... I'm mighty disappointed. See, I was a fan of her back in the days. I even named my bowling ball after her back in 2004 when bowling was my thing. But man reading her stuff lately...I'm disowning my ball, man.

I mean you would think, after coming back from a scandal in which the entire world saw her with a cock in her mouth, she'd come back stronger and have more independent woman pride. But nope, she's now going around talking about how she injected botox into her legs for slimming effects. WTF? Not even three months back and you're pulling this superficial crap?

That's why I like Ah Sa better now. I tried to name my acoustic guitar after her recently but several people on Facebook vetoed including Sindy from Canada who threatened to "ew me for life". Come on Sindy, you a Canadian, Americans don't care what you guys think.

I decided against Ah Sa and named my guitar Layla, you know, after the classic Clapton song. But then I remembered later that Layla is a song about unreciprocated love, so I was like "fuck that" and now the guitar is named Emmy.

But I must admit, Ah Gil looks beautiful in this issue's HK Mag.

Yo BTW,

I'm aware that my Emma Lee Moss entry from last week made it on the front page of AnD. I just want to preach to y'all who haven't seen/met her that the picture I took of her is a very, very bad pic of her--she's 7 times cuter/better looking than the picture suggests.

This isn't just coming from me, this is coming from Tim Prichard of HK Mag as well. He wants me to set the record straight: that pic is taken from a bad angle with bad lighting.

To get a full idea of how cute/charming she is, I suggest you go on SCMP.com's front page and watch the video. You gotta see her talk and crack a half smile to fully understand why me, along with every other guy at the gig that night, were completely smittened by Emmy The Great.

My picture didn't do her justice. This is a message from Beats and HK Mag.
