Sorry, shameless self-plug time.
I profiled the infamous (in NY) Charles Smith (http://nymag.com/daily/sports/2011/12/checking-in-with-charles-smith.html) for New York Mag sports section. If you know me, you'll know I'm a Jordan fanboy who talks about "The Flu Game", "The Double Nickel", and "The Charles Smith Game" all the time. So it was an honor to meet the man on the unfortunate end of that game.
As for the NBA...man, I'm one of the biggest David Stern fans around. Or at least I was. I loved how he pushed the league globally, digitally, and how he stood firm against commie China (the Yi Jilian saga) or how he verbally ethered Stan Van Gundy
But still, these last few months? He's lost it. His legacy as the greatest commissioner in all of sports is gone.
The great Harvey Dent once said
"You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain"
David Stern needs to take note of that.
Also, The Dark Knight Rises prologue... I haven't seen it yet but by all accounts it's "breathtaking", ala JGL's rotating corridor scene in Inception.
Damn.
