After slacking off too much last week at the office--spent the days chatting with FEATURES WRITER--the work load has come back and bit me in the ass. Today, for the first time in, maybe ever, I showed up to work on time and actually worked most of the day.
I had to take a break to go eat dinner because at Steak Expert, there's this special baby back ribs special...only 59 bucks for a slab of ribs!!!! Needless to say, it was the greatest 59 dollars I've ever spent in my life.
Anyway, after filling myself with ribs, I came back home ready to be like Reservoir Dogs and "get to work". But then a friend tells me ESPN Writer Bill Simmons, aka the best sports writer in America (basicallly best in the world. I mean come on, Americans are the leaders in sports. The Brits are the best in music though), has just put up his latest piece on ESPN.com, along with a two hour podcast where him and two other dudes from ESPN argue about the NBA playoffs.
HOW AM I GONNA GET WORK DONE NOW?
All of last week, I was waiting for Simmons to write something. He didn't. Now he uploads it all at once.
No sleep till Brooklyn tonight.
