Cutting Wing Chun

Logan and Poon provide quick cuts for fast fists...

It was a privilege to work on the international edit of the film 'Wing Chun Kung Fu' (aka 'Kung Fu Wing Chun', both working titles!) with the great Poon Hung. This veteran's career goes back to the films that first made Jackie Chan a star, 'Snake in the Eagle's Shadow' and 'Drunken Master'. It was a blast to work on this new martial arts actioner with him, and hear some great tales from the old days.

Its also always a pleasure to work with and for the film's producer, my old friend Ng See-yuen, one of the key figures in the development of action cinema. Here is the man who (almost) discovered Bruce Lee, definitely discovered Jackie and since made the names of Jean-Claude Van Damme, Tsui Hark, Cynthia Rothrock, Conan Lee... The list goes on!

The film stars newcomers Bai Jing and Yu Qao-chun (also in 'Shaolin'), as well as veterans Ngai Sing AKA Collin Chou (from the 'Matrix' sequels) and Shaw Bros veteran Wai Yin-hong.

Though I wasn't involved with the production, its a fun project to re-cut and present this fun action feature for a worldwide audience.
