Biography

Brian Burrell was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, and graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Chinese Literature and Asian Research in 1999. Brian first went to Hong Kong in 1995 to teach English, and permanently left the US for Hong Kong in 1999.

Brian began his acting career in 2000, when he took a minor role on TVB's A Case of Misadventure (Chinese: 騎呢大狀). He eventually gave up his job in the information technology sector to become an actor, and was later signed on by TVB as an artiste.

He was introduced to television acting by another foreign actor in Hong Kong: Gregory Charles Rivers. Since entering TVB, he has acted in many different television series.

布偉傑（Brian Thomas Burrell），美國猶他州鹽湖城人，他是香港無綫電視第四位外籍合約藝員。（先前三位是已故的關朝聰、已離開無綫的河國榮和仍在無綫服務的喬寶寶）

畢業於猶他大學，主修中國文學及亞洲研究，能夠書寫中文，會說流利英語、普通話、廣東話、柬埔寨語和日語。

於1995年來港時曾於幼稚園教授英語，後再返美國學習中國文學。 1999年來港工作，2000年經友人介紹成為臨時演員，首次演出為無綫的古裝劇集《騎呢大狀》，其後再在很多劇集中飾演臨時演員和演出於多個廣告。他亦替過香港海洋公園十月全城哈囉喂扮演「瘋醫生」一角。

其後更放棄高薪的IT工作，全職當臨時演員。2006年與葛民輝和李彩華主演電影《打雀英雄傳》，其後同事三分親準備拍攝，他成功試鏡，獲無綫簽約。並於2007年3月開始為劇集同事三分親演出韋一的角色。

他表示他於美國長大，故他能夠了解不同角度的觀點，明白香港人所想、要和相信的。他又欣賞喬寶寶運用他本身的經驗來宣傳他的民族到香港。
