But you, the consumer, are not off the hook here either. You are the ultimate power in the end. Your dollars are supporting those choices and if you don’t go support those guys whether it’s a small indie movie or a tv show starring yours truly, then you are equally part of the problem. Did anybody see a movie called Yellow? How about Better Luck Tomorrow? We need to support diversity in general to make this all work. I went to see Moonlight the other night and I was the only Asian in the theater. So the issue is not really just the whitewashing, the issue is that everybody needs to get involved to support the idea of diversity, if diversity is the change you want to see in our world. aAnd you have to support that with dollars not just words.
