First thing I want to say is that every US customs agent I have encountered in my 40 years of traveling has been nothing but nice and welcoming as they should because they are the first people of authority that travelers see when they come into the US. HOWEVER US Customs Supervisor ERIC GLASGOW at SFO tonight is the first asshole I ever met going through customs. A representative of the airline was trying to do me and my family a favor by ushering us to a short line after getting permission from the agent on deck. Then Eric Glasgow comes screaming at the girl for not asking him first. "I am the supervisor!! You talk to me first!!" He screamed. He threatened to fine her $1000 and was loudly verbally abusing her in front of a whole line of people. I understand she may have done something out of procedure but he didn't have to yell at her. I couldn't take it so I tried to defend the girl but then he started yelling at me. I then said to my wife "this guy is an asshole let's get in line" He told me to halt and then threatened me and my family with not processing our documents. I got in his face and said "Is this some kind of power trip? You're just mad because she didn't ask you first and that's why you are causing a scene?" We walked away and got back In line but he proceeded to write up the girl. For what? For trying to help out a family traveling with a baby? Eric Glasgow is a sorry, old excuse for a man and is a poor representation of the US Customs dept. trying to flex the tiny little bit of power he has rather than doing his job properly. I am embarrassed that we still employ relics from the past like this. I tried to file an official complaint but he was the supervisor so there was no one to complain to. Does anyone out there know how to file an official complaint that will be heard? #ericglasgow #uscustoms #immigration #sfo #asshole
