Very rough cover concept for my book

Hey everyone!!    I'm sharing one of the first rough designs for the cover to my book.  I have a few others but I am not as happy with those as this one.  It came from the design background of my blog but it works so well like when someone coined the phrase that become the title, it just came quick and worked.  I still plan on a trip to HK before publication to gather some more reference photos.

The book is still coming together but editing has been the biggest difficulty for me.  What to leave in and what to leave out.  I have a whole year to focus on but I am afraid the book maybe too lengthy  We are talking last Harry Potter book lengthy.  I still have one of the early chapters run about 46 pages after some trims!

The other real problem I am having is where to end it!!   I have the whole year laid out then it goes to the homeless period before I had to leave HK.  Then to that whole event leading up to my return to the US and what it was like to return with nothing and start from scratch.  I have chapters written about my extra work on The Dark Knight and the other tv shows and movies after that.  I honestly have almost whole book I could make about the work I did on Dark Knight and Public Enemies alone.  The whole project may split into 2 books but I'm not sure yet. 

Its also no secret I want to turn the book into a film adaption.  When I had lunch with the CSI writers they said I should just craft a movie.  I don't think the storytelling would fit into a movie but rather a 12 to 13 episode tv drama type show.  Thats what I am shooting for but the book comes first.  I would have to film almost all of the show on location all over in Hong Kong.  IHK would almost be a character is the story as much as myself and my friends plus I  really want to show how awesome HK is to the rest of the world.

As much as I dread it, I may have to go on hiatus from movies and tv to finish and publish the book.  I'll of course post new details about it here as they develop!

And it here it is, my first cover concept.  We'll see how far it changes when the book is published!    The bench is one of the ones I used to sleep on in Tin Shui Wai Park in the NT during my homeless and broke  part of my life.
