A Year of Many Firsts

2012 was for me a huge step forward.  It was a year of alot of firsts for me and one that will go down in the history books.  So, where shall we begin.   It was off to an interesting start.  I was asked by a director friend, Xiao Li Tan to play a lead role in the short, for Opposite House, called “近, The Nearness of You".  It was the first time doing a film of this sort which turned out beautifully.  It has over 25,000 hits on youku to date and is the most watched out of the series of three films, "Short Stays"Video: http://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XNDQ3MzIxODUy.htmlNext up I was asked to help out a director friend Thomas Lo with a short for the Fresh Wave Film Festival called "Shades Of Rogue 活在謊下".  It was my first time doing action Choreography.  It was an interesting experience for which I learned alot about myself.  The film made the top 20 finalists at the Festival.                     With Director Thomas Lo planning out an action sequence.                                                         With actress Monie TungThe Fall was a bit more busy promotion wise as I had the release of two films, oddly enough two different films of which each opened in a different country.  The first one was $upercapitalist which officially opened in theaters in HK on November 2nd.  October 17th was the premier which saw me walk the red carpet for the first time.  It was a great night and the premier sold out at Grand Elements.  November 2nd also saw the release of the much anticipated "The Man With The Iron Fists": a Quentin Tarantino presentation produced, co written, directed, starring and scored by none other than RZA(of the WuTang clan).  It was such an honor to be part of his vision and long time dream, not to mention be in a film with many other great AnD artists.  Was also so happy have my character still (although a dead one) be amongst the first to be released to the public. My year ended with somewhat of an interesting short film project called "Gus & Chloe" where I played a Serial Killer.  It was my first time playing a Serial Killer and not only my first time driving in HK but of all things my first time driving a taxi cab.  Fun!!!  Oh it was also the first time doing a scene in Cantonese           We had the pleasure of having a cameo appearance by Yuen Chueng YanThe movie was produced by Christopher Bates (director) , Mike Leeder(Casting director : Man With The Iron Fists / Man Of Tai Chi), Allison Yuen and "Blood Traffick" director Jen Thym.  Hopefully we will see a trailer released soon and receive some news about it playing in upcoming festivals.  I would like to wish all my fans & fellow AnD artists all the best for the upcoming New Year.  Thank you all for the support this past year.  Look forward to sharing more great news this upcoming year.  Cheers everyone!   Leave the bad behind and take the good stuff forward with you.Follow Me! 关注我!FacebookWeiboTwitter
