I don't know the woman who wrote this article but it's very thorough and strikes a cord with me. Though I've had my victories these past 5 years with Non Asian Roles (even with caucasian names) this was my struggle for many years and still seems to be today. I'm happy that these younger mixed Asian talents are getting these opportunities on both sides of the coin that were far and few between when I first got into the business. I actually had to move to Asia for a while to be considered "Asian Enough". Now that I am back on this side of the ocean I can do scenes in Mandarin & even Japanese for that matter and it still is never enough. There's also other interesting points bought up , non film industry related, that were brought to my attention years ago thanks to Jeff Chiba Stearns
