It's a wrap! RZA has tweeted that filming is done on his all-star directorial debut...28 May 2012

Further to our report last month, Robert Fitzgerald Diggs (aka 'RZA') has now finished shooting his directorial debut. He  tweeted on May 22nd thatThe Man with the Iron Fists was finally locked. The movie - which RZA wrote, directed and stars in - is very much his love letter to the Chinese martial arts movies that have influenced him in so many ways. The film tells of a young blacksmith in ancient China who gets caught up in a battle between rival clans. RZA plays the blacksmith, while the films supporting cast includes everyone from Russell Crowe, Lucy Liu, Daniel Wu, Byron Mann, Leung kar-yen, Cung Le, Chen Kuan-tai, Gordon Liu, Celina Jade, Dave Bautista, Grace Huang, Andrew Lin, Pam Grier, Jon Benn and many more. That's quite a line-up in anyone's books!Impact ’s Ian Powers worked on the film as Russell Crowe’s fight double, while our Far Eastern editor Mike Leeder handled the casting. Early word on the film, which features action choreography by Corey Yuen, is that the film is an epic - delivering in not only action and adventure but also drama, story telling and directorial flare.
