Detroit Rising

Downtown Copenhagen recently had the great pleasure of hosting the most gritty and meanest location known to the good folks of Amager. The celebratory event was none other than the making of the new feature-film project Detroit Rising by director Thomas Eikrem!

The film which so far has seen it's location shoots in New York, London, Irak, Afghanistan and now Copenhagen has written cult all over it, and also a fresh approach to independent film-making.

Our wonderful director Thomas knows how to pick a team and I had the great pleasure of working with German actress Katja Bienert.

Katja known among many film-fans for her work with Spanish director Jess Franco is also an acclaimed writer, singer, painter and show-master. Her mother was actually the first professional stunt-woman in Germany, as you can imagine I was in good hands for setting up our action of the day.

No accidents, lots of laughing, a gritty fight-scene and a successful guerilla shoot which would make a Fred Williamson proud.. We hope!!
