After an incredible two day competition last Friday and Saturday, this year’s DMC World DJ Championships have been decided and this year’s ruling DJs have been crowned. With electric performances over the weekend from Million Dan, Killa Kela and his full live experience, DJ Vajra, Jungle Drummer vs. DJ Fu and a showcase set from last year’s champion DJ Rafik the Indigo2 was packed out with anxious fans waiting with baited breath for the all important winner announcements.Huge congratulations go out to DJ Fly from France who took the solo title on Saturday night, Kireek who blitzed the competition to take the Team Championship Title for a 2nd year and to UK entrant DJ Switch who took the Battle for World Supremacy competition by storm and emerged victorious on Friday night.
The final three placing DJs for the DMC World DJ Championship after the judges had deliberated all the performances from the DJs were:1. DJ Fly (France)2. DJ Slyce (USA)3. DJ Co-Ma (Japan)The talented frenchman took home the fabled Technics Gold Turntables and Mixer, $10,000 courtesy of Ortofon, the Ortofon Diamond Gold Stylus Award, the DMC Gold Record Award, a Calvin Klein ckIN2U goody bag and £500 worth of Drunknmunky clothing.
UK entrant and regularly crowned UK Champion DJ Skully came 4th.
The Team Championship was once again an excellent and intricate display of interplay between numerous DJs working together to create a singular sound and set. Japanese entrant Kireek once again dominated after taking the title last year and spun together a set worthy of the top spot scooping the title, $10,000 courtesy of Ortofon and £1000 worth of Drunknmunky clothing to split between them (along with each of their DMC Gold Disc Awards, ckIN2U goody bags and top of the line RANE TTM57 Mixers!)

Intellivision (Italy)This year’s head to head Battle for World Supremacy was won by DJ Switch from the UK who scratched and parried his way through numerous rounds to be crowned the champion. He beat out all the competition and faced off in the final with DJ Nelson from France where he was pronounced victorious after displaying his confrontational battle scratches and personal intimidation techniques bagging himself $10,000 courtesy of Ortofon, the DMC Gold Disc Award, a RANE TTM57 mixer, a Calvin Klein ckIN2U goody bag and £300 worth of Drunkmunky clothing for his troubles.
