False humility

Recently it’s really been bugging me how people are constantly saying ， ”不好意思。“ Or basically they don’t want to be thought of as bothersome.

First off let me say, “Love is not rude.”

However when people are afraid to get to know someone or afraid to ask for help on the basis of being bothersome, I don’t beleive that is humility. I hear people say I don’t want to bother this pastor because he’s too busy, or I want to get to know this leader, but she seems like she’s got her hands full. As considerate as it sounds, I think a lot of it is just fear of rejection.

The bible says that the world is supposed to know us by our love for one another. Love never fails. You can only love somebody with your arms open wide. However people can only love you if you’re open to being loved.
