Knowledge vs. Intimacy

You can’t get intimacy through knowledge.

However, you can get knowledge through intimacy.

I can read a book about the president. I can know all the facts. But in the end, I won’t really know him unless I meet him face to face.

This is the same with church, small groups, etc…

These things are all great, but they can not supplement your time being with God.

In faith, talk to God. Fellowship with Him, and He will answer you.

“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” Heb. 11

God wants to know you too.

Yes He created you, but does He know you? He knows everything about you because He created you. However, Him knowing you as a friend is something different.

“Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will. 22 Many will say to me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform many powerful works in your name?’ 23 And yet then I will confess to them: I never knew YOU! Get away from me, YOU workers of lawlessness.”

Love the Lord with all your heart soul mind and strength.

Love your neighbor as yourself.
