Producing Chinese Folk Song Concert 筹备民歌演唱会

After three years of Technical Direction for some private events, the reward is, I grew to love Chinese Folk Songs because I was given the opportunity to understand and love it.

Therefore I produced a Chinese Folk Songs concert for a new artiste I discovered when I went to a piano bar one year ago.

Our concert on the 6th of July 2009 went well, we received feedback from audience that day and they requested for more of such Chinese Folk Songs concert.

One year ago when I approached the programmer to sell the idea of a Chinese Folk Songs concert, he was not keen, I convinced him that it will sell, because I knew it would, depending on how your package the show and the artistes.

Well, our success for this prove that there is a place for Chinese Folk Songs in a western dominated Singapore.

We have been invited by the Esplanade "Huayi" Chinese Festival of Arts' Programmer to perform in the Huayi. Now, this is just after a concert we did less then a week ago. It goes to say that we have done something right to gain their interest in us almost immediately.

My goal is to continue to promote Chinese Folk Songs and create buzz for this genre of music.

 I have produced many many western mini concerts, so I am very very happy to produce chinese concerts. I have started producing chinese concerts when I was trying to help some artistes move on with their life.

因为工作的缘故爱上民歌。这几年一直在听，越听越是喜爱。一年前，偶然在一间钢琴酒廊听到张燕唱了几首民歌就把她推荐给滨海艺术中心，开始，他们并不热衷于我的建议，也没兴趣，后来我说服他们。我强调的是，像我这么一个满口英语的人都爱民歌，它一定有它的魅力。七月六日张燕终于在滨海艺术中心举办了她的首场民歌演唱会。我们真的很用心去筹备这次的演出。乐师们非常年轻，也很努力，很专业，我们玩得很开心。观众们都爱她们的演出，还写了建议书到滨海艺术中心要求多办这类的演唱会。三天后，接到滨海艺术中心节目编排的通知，邀请张燕参与明年“华艺”艺术节的演出。我们都十分的开心，这表示我们的努力被肯定。我希望多一些人会欣赏和喜爱民歌。 过几天，我上传两首张燕演唱的民歌让大家听听。“天路”和“青藏高原”。

只传了“青藏高原”，“天路”一直上传不了。

“有一天我会”-是另一位歌手， 陈影，是我监制的一首歌，是有经过重新的编排。

“两条路上”也是陈影唱的，是现场演唱。

我正在物色一位有丰富民歌认识和经验的唱片监制为张燕好好的筹备一张民歌专辑。有谁有兴趣，或有合适的推荐请予我联系。
