Here's the final post in my series on how to make an illustration. Last week I showed you how I begin to add color to the work. After my color choices have been approved by the art director, I finish coloring by cleaning up the messy edges, adding pencil texture underneath some color layers, and so on. I'll be posting an update on the HKwalls project I took part in soon, but for now, here's a recap video of the event featured on Hong Kong's Apple Daily website. Click the link here to watch the full video, and be sure to take a stroll through the Sheung Wan neighborhood to see all of the finished walls!

Next up in the "How to Make an Illustration" series, my favorite part - adding color! For this illustration for Geox shoes and MilkX Monthly, the art director wanted the piece to have a spring-y, cheerful feeling - so I went for bright colors. This piece is still rough (as you can see) because I wanted to make sure the colors I chose were what the art director was looking for. Sending the illustration in drafts makes for easier changes later!
