Skyward - Day 7 - 2008 May 2

I made some small adjustments to the scrīpt that can bring out some hate during the finale. Clay's childhood is a lot worse now. I didn't make a big deal of it, but I changed it from being kicked in the head to being hit with a belt. That's what damages his left eye. He also uses belt in a very brief love scene. And lastly, during the end fight, Gibson is beating the hell out of his right eye, and makes it swell shut. Gibson gives him a moment, during which Clay pulls off his belt and cuts the swelling open with the pin on his belt, squeezes any ooze/blood out, and tells Gibson "Now you got me going for my belt." Still need to tweak it a little more by alluding to Clay's father being in Vietnam.

Nothing really BIG happened today, except I got to drive around in one of these:I was successful at not breaking anything, though I found out that old forklifts need a LOT of throttle just to keep running. On to business.

I started working on a promo title idea. Here's what I have so far. I'll want to tweak the lettering and do better vapor trails (and more than just one), plus we'll have photos of the main characters on there. Or it'll look nothing like this in the end. Who knows.Got an email from Greg, and he says he's not going to get his Red camera until August. I don't think this is a problem since we'll probably be shooting in September at earliest, plus he has a Sony HVR-V1U with a 35mm adaptor. We're going to try and get a teaser shot in the beginning of June, probably spend a couple weekends on it. Then we can have it ready for Comic-con and get the hype machine rolling quickly.

Tomorrow is our meeting with an investor. Time for bed.
