To my fellow musicians in AnD:
Having been in Music Matters for the past few years, I thought I should say more about the event. My advice is to GO if you can. There is so much interesting stuff on the agenda. You will probably die and not go pee. Some topics include: The Japan Market, The China Market, 360 deals and what it means to Artist etc etc.
Some of my personal favorites come from the camaraderie between the speakers and the audience. Moments such as:
When Edison Chen went really blunt and tell the record execs that they are crap
When Nile Rogers started jamming the guitar on stage
When the 4 Regional Heads of the record company were put on the spotlight and asked how they would invest the money and being asked the question: "Is it all worth it?"
And when you're not sitting down, you will probably end up schmoozing with a record exec, or a producer, or a service provider, or a publisher or a device manufacturer. You name it, the whole chain.
So yeah sign up and don't miss out!
