we're back from our journey to NEW YORK CITY.

it was a packed trip of meetings, shows, networking and building.

EATING FM "BRICK CITY". Episode 6

EATING FM in New Jersey.. THE BRICK CITY. Episode 6.

Right after sound check for our show at Pachita above the old Sound Factory in New York for DJ Shine's record release party... we  was all hungry before show time so Shine hyung and Kenny took us for a drive over the GW Bridge to New Jersey.

They took us to a fresh street that looked like a mini Koreatown.. with a bunch of bars and restaurants...  called palisade park.. and we rolled up to a korean bar/restaurant/lounge/karaoke spot called JA YU IN.

Now... Ktowns and korean neighborhoods all over the world from Torrance to New Jerrrz to Seoul have restaurant/bars like this by the millions.. and we've visited and kicked it at our fair share... so there wasnt a crazy buzz to get some korean food... but thats cuz Shine didnt tell us how BOMB the food was.

He made a call before we got there, so by the time we got to JA YU IN's... the food was hot and sitting on the table.

The first dish was something we ALWAYS order at every Korean Bar/Restaurant at home in LA... its called "Sausage Bokum" or something like that... its chopped up hotdogs with a spicy ketchup sauce, grilled onions and peppers and random ish.... and of all the years i've eaten it, it'd be safe to say that this was the best its ever tasted. it was something about the type of hotdog they used and the sauce they used that made it taste 10 times better than any other place.

The second dish was crispy fried chicken wings... which was bomb.. can never go wrong with wings. but what made it different from all the spots we ever ate wings at was the SAUCE. We some saucy mo fo's and this spicy sauce was the best i've tasted from Seoul to LA. Shine hyung told us they make the sauce at Ja Yu In's and its a secret recipe that no one can figure out.

We never eat like this before a show.. cuz we gotta be light on our toes... but the food was sooo daym good we couldnt stop eating hahhaah... the other table was even giving us theirs cuz we some beasts from the east.

The last dish was a spicy squid dish with noodles underneath.. and the chunks of squid with the spicy sauce and a bowl of rice was the shiiizzznit. mouf watering. J-splif was sweating like a dog from all the hot sauce we was eating... but thats just how good it was ya dig.

WE BOUT TO KILL IT.

Now we right and ready for the show... and this was BY FAR... the best meal we've had on the east coast.... makes me wish LA had one of these.. cuz as many as there are.. this was the best tasting spot we've had.

FM highly recommends that if you're visiting the east coast.. or you're from the east coast.. head over the George Washington Bridge to Palisade Park and hit up Ja Yu In's Bar and Restaurant .. and the best thing is.. they serve alcohol and they're open till 3am...

****3 Fingers up*- MUST EAT.. crave for it.. amazing food. If you dont try it your missing out on life…

***2 Fingers up* - Great Taste, if you get a chance… try it… i recommend it. *** 1 Finger up** - Kinda wish i didnt eat there or order what i ordered … but i ate it and now im full.

- Middle Finger up - i threw it away while eating it… if i had a brick i’d throw it through the window.. and if i had lighter fluid and a lighter.. i’d burn that mutha down…

We recommend: Spicy Squid Noodles, Sausage bokum, and fried chicken wings with xtra Ja Yu In's secret Spicy sauce.. we tryin to get some in a bottle to take home.

Service (new category): EXCELLENT... the people are nice and they make sure your taken care of. Rating: ***3 Fingers up ON BOTH HANDS (Congrats on the 2nd 3fingers up rating!)

Our Trip to NYC was awesome.. we met alot of good people and saw some old friends too.

The music scene is definitely crackin out there and we’re glad to be a part of it… Thanks to NYU, ACE and MK for bringing FM to NY….and THANK YOU to all the family we met out there helpin us break thru and reppin FM.
