Going for the gold? i'll settle for silver...

Took my  IPPT (Individual Physical Proficiency Test) this morning at the airbase and here are the results, graded according to my age category Y1 :

Sit-up: 33 ( in 1 minute ) - C - 3 points  gotta work on those abs

Pull-up: 9 - B - 4 points  arm power needs improvement too

4 X 10m shuttle run: 9.5 seconds - A - 5 points

Standing Broad Jump: 250 cm - A - 5 points

2.4 km run: 12 min 8 seconds - C - 3 points  won't see me in a marathon any time soon

20 out of 25,  gets me for a silver IPPT badge (to pin on my uniform's sleeve) and a $200 cash 'award'...not too shabby for an hours' "work" :P

Too bad this happens only once a year...till i hit 40. ;(

jeanne> for a start, u could get a friend to time u...but then u won't get any 'awards' :P mindy> easier said than done...i've been a consistant silver since 2004...though next year i'll be in cat Z so the requirements will be less stringent...maybe got chance hor? :P
