be it politics, economics, religion, lifestyle (eg exercise, dietary) etc most people pick and choose the nice parts as justification, and ignore the bad parts. unlike everything else, religions are deemed to be the edicts of supernatural overlords. whereas for everything else we probably got the idea from other human beings, at best experts in their fields, at worst just another schmuck like us. but once a person has bought into religion, it is very hard to change his/her mind about it because, "who are we to Question God?"
tmr there'll be ppl wearing pink or white or whatever colored clothing to make a stand for whichever cause. i'm not into all those additional "labels". i just think consenting human beings ought to be able to love one another, regardless of any "label".
