My latest collaboration with Ryan Higa and Wong Fu Productions just hit 3 MILLION views on Youtube in the first 5 days of it's release! What can I say; I am astounded! I was honored to work with Ryan Higa, who is the #1 most subscribed channel on Youtube (where he is known as NigaHiga) with around 3 million subscribers. I found it interesting that AsianAmericanTV blog wrote, "[Ryan's]videos easily break 3.5 million views if not 4 million views. If we look at that as "box office" that would be (12 dollars x 4 million views) a 50 million dollar grossing film." The Film

This uproarious film was created by an incredibly talented group of people who are on the forefront of groundbreaking online content. In just the first 5 days of the release, the video was featured on Google and Youtube, and garnered 3 million views. I had a blast scoring both the trailer and the film. Check it out for yourself:

I was really impressed at how many youtube personalities showed up just to support their friends who were in the film. There were a few that I recognized (Kevjumba (who was recently on Amazing Race), David Choi, Kina Grannis, Paul Dateh, Tay Zonday (the incredible voice behind Chocolate Rain, Clara C), and many more that have big followings online.Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xlzf04xYnp4[![](/attachments/2010/11/29/17/33866_201011291757401.thumb.jpg)](/batch.download.php?aid=8265174)At the PremiereCast & Crew Q&AWith Tay ZondayMe, Ryan Higa, and Philip WangMe, Julie Zhan from Pacific Rim Video, Arden Cho, and Ryan HigaI love Grace Su's expression here, even though it makes me look a little creepy.Musician Photo: with Vudoo Soul, Kina Grannis, and Clara CSurrounded by two of my favorite singer/songwriters: Kina Grannis and David ChoiWith Wesley ChanThe Music Growing up I always loved watching spy thrillers such as “Mission Impossible,” “Austin Powers” and “James Bond.” So I got a real kick out of getting to write a score that was influenced by some of my all time favorite movies. My musical influences while composing were James Bond (David Arnold), The Matrix (Don Davis) and the Bourne films (John Powell).
I’m hoping to put together a soundtrack release of A.S.S. featuring bonus tracks from other Wong Fu Productions films. What are you waiting for, stop reading this blog, and go experiencing/hear the film!
