Hip-Chop

I had to share this comic, Secret Asian Man, which I am totally addicted to. I just read this and realized that I have written a new musical genre, hip-hop with violins and piano, lol.

Here's an mp3 of a hip hop score that I wrote for an award-winning short film called Hit Me, which aired on Showtime's Black Filmmaker Showcase last year. You'll hear several tracks of viola (with light distortion), processed clarinet, and some low piano, in addition to the synths and hip hop beats. What do you think, am I on the cusp of a new genre here?
