Linkin Park Competition Final Opinions.. I promise.

Ok guys, I just wanted to finally clear of any confusion as to my past comments regarding this competition. I've had a few people send comments to me about my negativity towards this competition.Right now it looks like our band is going to be in the top 5 of the contest as long as our fans keep voting for the rest of the night.I want people to realise that now that we are in the top 5, I still stick to what I believe in.I am not a sore loser, I was NOT speaking out previously because I was angry with our band not being in the top 5.I was simply defending music, integrity and justice with all my previous comments.As artists and musicians who stand for what we believe in, it is imperative for us all to speak up and stand together for injustice. Be it little things like competitions like this, or seriously important subjects like global warming or poverty.We have the power to make some difference to the world. Michael Jackson is proof that one man and his music can make the world a better place.I'd like to make one final judgement on this competition, I know Alive Not Dead had great intentions at heart when they offered all of us a chance to play with LP.I know Alive Not Dead tried their best to keep it fair and definitely did not bias the competition in any way what so ever.And I know all of our bands are grateful to be given the chance to take part in this competition.Just for the record I seriously respect AnD for everything they do (and try to do) to help the artistic scene here in Hong Kong which seriously does need help.HOWEVER.I do still believe that the competition did not work out great.Because some bands / or fans DID cheat. The results are not 100% accurate. With the elimination process of one IP per vote only, AnD tried their best to keep the integrity of the competition and keep it fair. However we all know that right now, bands number 3,4,5,6,7 are SOOO close that through this "Indiscriminate" (which means AnD did not discriminate in any way) system of filtering, no one really knows who the top 5 REALLY should be.Now please remember my band is about 80 votes ahead right now. So I don't want to be attacked about being bitter because really I'm super happy right now. I think so far we've lost about 70 votes to this process of one IP, one vote. But it's fair to say we've all lost votes and it has been fair. I hope people can finally stop attacking me as being a sore loser, or hating on AnD, because it's never been about any of that.I love a lot of you guys out there. A lot of your bands I love and a lot of musicians in them are good friends and allies in the fight against Cantopop. Not all of our bands are amazing yet, but that's the beauty of music. I was a TERRIBLE singer and I'm still no Freddie Mercury, but we grow and improve as artists and that's what it is ALL about. A young band now making tonnes of mistakes in 5 years could be the best band in the world! YOU GOTTA START SOMEWHERE! And my first 3 bands were AWEFUL I'm telling you! I couldn't sing, no one could play a note or hit a beat! But it's the growing and improving that makes music so awesome!I put my neck out on this chopping block for all of us musicians, I've had a few chunks taken out but luckily my head didn't come all the way off ;)I want to suggest one more time that all of our bands be put forward to LP for them to choose a top band. Let the votes be shown to them. Let LP know who's won the most votes, but don't let good bands be pushed out because of top 5.If LP knew how heated this competition got, I know they're busy guys but I think they would be happy to look at 15 more bands and let the votes make a difference to choosing. but not ultimately make the choice of the competition. No one loses any respect for AnD or the competition and I think everyone would be happy.Please understand that playing with LP is my dream. I love LP and my entire life I've dreamed of playing with them since I got Hybrid Theory when I was like 15 or something. I remember thinking these guys are all Mixed up like ME! because where I was from I was bullied for being mixed all day long. They gave me hope that one day I could be in a cool band and be like Mike or Chester.By suggesting this change of rule for the competition I'm sure everyone can see that I'm really decreasing our bands chances of success..However I still stand for integrity, even if band number 6 or 7 were chosen. I'll be happier to know that Linkin Park got to choose who they wanted the most. We'd be totally devastated about losing, but at least I could feel like they got a good choice.and just  for the record...IF 24Herbs win, also know that I will feel like it was fair decision. Those guys do work a lot with AnD and they are super tight with them. But I know Patrick Lee would never do anything to influence the voting of this comp in their favour or sway Linkin Park's choice.I'm friends with Ghost Style and he's a super cool guy. Just based on how cool he is I know why people do like 24herbs so much, Conroy and Eddie are super nice guys too. I dunno the other guys at all but I presume so also. Being nice people gets you far in music and in life in general.That's another reason why they do so well. They respect the local scene. Love being chinese and love being HK. That's so important.As mixed race as Gong Wu looks. We are all made in Hong Kong, can all walk into china happily and love being HONG KONG people. In our band room our main language is CANTONESE. Not only because I love practicing my chinese. but because we ARE chinese and proud! (and a little white here and there ;))For whichever bands believe that if 24herbs win it was fixed, you seriously have to get it out of your head. If they win I'll be happy for them (I'll hate them out of pure jealousy) but nonetheless, give them respect for their work here in HK.Anyway,Finally. Love me or Hate me. I hope all the bands can understand that everything I've been saying had no selfish motive. I was never complaining because we weren't in the top 5. It isn't my style to be negative without true reason.It was always purely out of fairness to all of us.. Because all my life since I was 15 I've been in bands and had to fight these fights, voting comps, battle of the bands, and time and time again losing (or sometimes winning) but always there was some kind of problem.You'd never get a "battle of the painters" or a "who's art is the best" voting comp. Because Art is totally subjective! And to most people music is too. It's so hard for an indie fan to understand why death metal singers scream. Yet Metal fans probably find Indie too tame and safe! So BOTB's and this kind of stuff is really tricky to get right and terribly frustrating when it doesn't work out..Anyways, I'm sure everyone gets my points now. But I'm pretty sure they would be happy for me to put this up because they are with me because they too believe in what I believe in. Gong Wu stands united in what we believe in. That's why this band was made and why I never wanted to be a solo Cantopop singer! urrgggh...Much Respect to Patrick Lee and Raffi K for giving us all the opportunity to have a chance to play this show with LP. You guys are not only "the guys in AnD" but just know that no matter how annoying my comments are. I still have loads of respect and friendship for you.Peace and Love n shit..Li
