At the grand opening of Opera Gallery’s new Hong Kong space at 52 Wyndham Street, Central on 7th March, Liu Dao had two art works on show. A host of press, collectors and art-savants were present to welcome in the impressive new gallery which exhibites over four storeys. The ground floor is currently exhibiting paintings by the Spanish painter Lita Cabellut whilst the remaining three floors are showing various contemporary artists, mainly from China.
All round it was a great evening – the champagne flowed freely and all present were well fed on caviar and appetizers. The gallery constitutes a fantastic new addition to the Hong Kong art scene, and an expansion of Opera Gallery’s international profile. Drop by to check it out, along with island6′s Hong Kong space around the corner at No. 1 New Street, Sheung Wan where you can catch “The Cat that Eats Diodes” until the 24th March. We’re busily preparing for the Hong Kong opening of “Need. Want. Hunt.” on the 28th. Make sure you’re there for the opening event between 18:00 and 21:00 on that date so that we can throw our own party!
