The Art of Food

Two worlds are about to collide and we think this could be a very tasty collaboration indeed.

Island6 are extending their gallery space so during the next two years you shall see the works of Liu Dao adorning the walls of Red Door Restaurant on the Bund.

The recipe for this creative delicacy involves a sprinkling of LED, a delectable animal* or two and some paint work for your palette. Throw in a newly designed restaurant, masterminded by Eric Custer, who has previously been commissioned by the rich and famous from Alicia Keys to Zinedine Zidane, stir in an eclectic food menu created by intercontinental chef, Rey De Luna, and wash down with a wonderfully concocted cocktail created by mixologist extraordinaire Jacky Xue et voila! You have a jolly great way to spend an evening in Shanghai.

Food is most definitely art, just the edible kind and we hope to showcase a feast for the eyes as we bring you some of island6’s latest offerings such as Liu Dao’s LED spectacle of “Jack The Fatalist & His Master” plus many more…
