Day 1:
got in late Friday night / Saturday morning, drove to the motel and crashed. the next day met up with the wrestlers and did some interviews and shot some footage of them promoting their next show.
Day 2:
packed our stuff and checked out of the motel. had to drive 2 hours to our next location. we stopped by to get some lunch at the Golden Corral. Tara told me about how she used to go there with her grandparents when she was younger. this was my chance to experience the infamous buffet. i wasn't disappointed.
the place was packed with people. seems like a lot of them were coming straight from church.
i hate it when they generalize and label things 'Asian' or 'Oriental'. what's the difference between the words to them anyway?
since i was the only Asian there i felt awkward putting the pork on my plate. i'm sure some people thought that the the dishes were legit since the Asian guy was getting it.
anyway, here is my first meal - corn, corn bread stuffing, fried chicken, Asian pork, rice, fried shrimp, bourbon chicken, and a giant piece of steak! and of course i had to have sweet tea with my meal. people here drink sweet tea with every meal. i'm telling you, no one drinks water here.
my second meal consists of - the 'awesome pork roast'. how can i say no to this?
also got - more corn bread stuffing, rice, and sweet potato with melted marshmallows! yummy indeed.
but after finishing the two plates i had to pass on the dessert.
every time i am here i gain a lot around my waist area. it's just so hard to eat healthy here. almost everything is fried! and when we are shooting our eating schedule is all messed up, so we end of eating fast food because we are always on the go.
starting from tomorrow the shooting will be nonstop. i will try my best to update this blog.
thanks for reading.
goodnight and sweet dreams.
sincerely,
