when you are making a documentary, where you follow a subject around, there is no set schedule. one day you can be shooting 10 to 12 hours straight and another day you can be sitting on your thumbs waiting all day.
so here i am again, taking advantage of the down time. it seems like all we have done so far is drive, eat, sleep, and eat some more.
this morning we went to Panera Bread to get some caffeine. i made the mistake of ordering the green ice tea. and man, it was green.
as soon as i got the drink i knew i was in trouble. maybe the lady behind the counter gave me the wrong drink, because it tasted like a cross between a melted apple popsicle and corn syrup. it was nasty. avoid at all cost!!!
for lunch we went to Stevi B's pizza. it was $3.99 all you can eat lunch special. the pizza at the top of the picture is a macaroni pizza. it sounds gross, but i had to try it. my philosophy is that if you want to learn the culture, you have the eat the food. and you know what? it wasn't bad at all.
and check out the dessert section.
it's cherry pie on the left, apple pie in the middle, and some chocolate syrup thingy pie on the right. all on top of a pizza dough! i tried the apple pie pizza. it was a bit too sweet for my taste.
a hard part about traveling is that i start to miss my cat. his name is H. Schmoozer. the H stands for Hans, which was his given name at the animal shelter. Schmoozer is a big handsome fella with a good heart and a lot of love to give. i adopted him about 4 years ago. a good friend of mine is staying at my apt taking really good care of him, so he is in good hands.
here are some pics of him. i miss my baby! sniff :(
thanks for reading everyone. i hope you all have a great day.
sincerely,
Jae-Ho
music is my girlfriend. it never let's me down.
