Kickin' It

The other day I took the gravy train on a yellow bricked journey to mainland China to find the shoe wizards over at La Tandem. Who are these shoe wizards? Well, its funny you asked because I was just going to tell ya. Presenting the Beast from the East, here is Owennn Chennn! He had to cover his face, because its a proven fact that women and men alike spontaneously orgasmically implode at the sight of his lips, nips, and hips. Or they scream in fear...I forgot which one.On the other end here is the International Man of Mystery himself, Larry Ch Ch Chennn! The captain of Jump Shoes and self proclaimed king of Dong Guan ready to TKO the shoe world Mike Tyson style! That man is looking hungry! I think I took this picture around lunch time...The wizards gave me a no holds barred tour of the magical kingdom that produces the shoes for the likes of Steve Madden and Fornarina. So, without further ado, here are some tasty treats and sweet meats from the visit.

Walking the floor with Owen trying to scratch those pesky hard to reach itchy spots. Damn these short and dainty asian arms![](/attachments/2009/06/04/10/397529_200906041057061.thumb.jpg)Kicks in progress...Goku and Gohan from Dragonball cutting out shoe patterns.Shoe diecuts. Ooo la la! That one on the upper right hand corner looks like a purty butterfly.Looking through the leather books. Some of these are looking fancy pants-alicious![](/attachments/2009/06/04/10/397529_2009060410570611.thumb.jpg)Materials...More materials...Even more materials...Material overload...alert alert...I think my head just exploded from the awesomeness...boom shaka laka![](/attachments/2009/06/04/10/397529_200906041057062.thumb.jpg)After all was said and done, we met up with Michael Sun of Rebel Scholar fame and tasted the surreal night life of Dong Guan over at the Grand Club. Needless to say, it was a grand ol' time for all! With fancy dance routines and triads smoking cigars at ever corner, I felt like I was in an old Shanghai gangster flick. Wish I had pictures of the night's events, but I didn't want to be chopped up and turned into a steamed dumpling since no cameras were allowed.Till next time, remember to be a hero in a halfshell, Turtle Power!
