These Asian Pacific American Labor Alliance (#APALA @apalanational) leaders @gregorycendana and Johanna Hester were a couple of the most enthusiastic when seeing me in DC for the White House award. They funded and created the artists exchange that sent me and a delegation of Asian Pacific American artists to Ferguson Missouri last year (This group included #DisorientedComedy homie @dlocokid & fellow #WHChamps awardee @tazzystar). We were there to connect with youth and community organizers at Hands Up United and support #BlackLivesMatter. It was by far one of the most meaningful and fulfilling experiences I have had since starting comedy. It brought together all the elements of my life thus far: my former career in labor organizing and politics, community organizing work in Los Angeles, and my comedy. It is only with this kind of network of like-minded co-conspirators that I am able to live this awesome life. ??????????????????
