2nd Big Purchase: NEW PIANO

Yesterday after the gynae visit, i asked Mr Cloudz to drive us to Paradiz Centre/Peace Centre to check out the piano shops. Have been hunting for pianos for some time already to place 1 at Mr Cloudz for me to play/practise, and also for potential students/customers from the North area.

So far the piano hunt went like this in chronological order

1) U1 Yamaha after discount is $7k

2) UK piano from Chiu piano Thomson Plaza, made in Korea ard $5.8k

3) U1H Yamaha 20 year-old piano (2nd hand) from Music Clef at Suntec $3.8k. Imagine 20 years old and still charging $3.8k!!! Can buy a brand new one....although the sound was pretty good still

4) Ellington at Peace Centre (under Baldwin) Germany brand but the manufacture was transferred from Japan to China. However the guy was like dismantling the parts and showing me that the quality is uncompromised as compared to Yamaha newer pianos. Initially i was not super fazed about it. But the price, assurance of quality, and the more songs i play on it, slowly took a liking of it.

Yeps so like after i went home yesterday and blogged here, i was like asking Damian and Ryan on any reviews on this Ellington piano. In the end i made my decision, i just called the guy and bought my new piano over the phone!

It will arrive tomorrow night after my heavy grp classes. Pretty excited~
