Baby's scanning on 8th May 2008

Was super late for my gynae appointment as usual...yes coz of Skype, my chat buddies would know here...and i made a shocking discovery today, i didnt know Mr Cloudz' laptop has a built in mic till RAINA or Damian heard me coughing...and i was 'forced' to use my voice...so appt was like 710pm, and 720 i was still online...

Even Mr Cloudz reached b4 me despite his work :P Luckily he being the very nice guy, was not angry nor irritated with waiting for me. Instead he said he wanted me to drive slowly/carefully to the hospital. On the other hand i was driving like a slight maniac :P And bad thing happened when we came back just now :( The car went over LOTS OF GLASS PIECES on the freaking road, and nothing happened initially. Only after pumping petrol, Mr Cloudz said that the car is steering to the right by itself...and when we reached home, we saw the right front tyre was flat   He told me better not to drive tmr to work...then how??? Hope the tyre would be fixed by my FIL soon...

Anyways reached the hospital (which coincidentally is called KK hospital), saw a small crowd. Luckily for my gynae, only had 1 couple b4 me. So didnt wait very long. Gained 7 kg in total from pregnancy, now should be 5 mth plus. Only remembered the higher no. of blood pressure which was 115. Asked nurse wat was considered high, she said 130 and above. Dr I said 7 kg was fine, only when ppl hit like 14kg, then she'd ask me to watch my diet...she asked if baby kicked a lot at night while i sleep, i said not really...just moved a bit. Stariel kicked a bit only...quite a 'guai' (well-behaved) baby, unlike me i guess hehe. So shortly we did the scanning, had 6 pics including one that shows between the thigh bones-the gender, but i shall not post that. So posting these 3 instead...

Dr I was saying baby didnt move much, then suddenly baby pointed her index finger as above! Then soon after, she made a V sign with 2 fingers!!! Amazing...some toddlers need to be taught how to stick out certain fingers, but i guess my gal already knows how to make the Victory sign-Yeah~ Too bad the V sign picture were not captured here...

As circled by Dr I, the tummy is the round thing u see..so round....she said it's the normal size, tho i can't remember is 20cm in circumference or wat....

After the scanning, doc told me i had to take a blood test as both my parents have slight diabeties  That time i just took blood already...hate needles poking me and drawing blood again! Why can't they use the same blood sample and do all the freaking tests together??? Sigh. Anyways Mr Cloudz' asked if i could drive till when, Dr I said till im due! So tats good to hear in a way. She said her colleague when going to due, still drove a Ferrari!!! And u know Ferraris the seat is very low and quite squeezy in a way. I asked Dr I about medicine for my cough/throat, so she said Pi Pa Kao and Trachisan were fine, and she gave me medicine for my condition. When i saw the medicine, they were normal common medicine i took last time! No diff in the end...Then i asked her about massages, coz i was wondering if i could be massaged in Bali, but she said better to play safe, so nope. And no soft cheeses as well if they serve during breakfast :( My favourite cheeses...sigh

K, the bill came up to S$160 over coz of double dosage of fish oil, multivitamins with folic acid, calcium pills, and my normal medicine, plus consultation of S$55. The coming blood test for diabetes is about S$30 over...We left nearing 9pm.

Went to Bakerzin for dessert, but they only have cakes and drinks left sighhhhh. No food, no desserts like creme brulee, tapas with various flavours like coupe cheesecake ice-cream, souffles etc...sad. We ordered a Frasier cake, tho initially i wanted a tiramisu cake. Mr Cloudz said no due to alcohol content, but i told him my aunt who had 3 sons, said a bit of alcohol from cakes is alrite...my dad also said tat. Fraisier had strawberry alcohol, but i just went ahead to order. Couldnt taste the alcohol, watever. My cousin who was made to drink like Brandy or something by my uncle, her kid is like the top 1% in the US cohort coz her hubby is from US, and a Harvard grad. So....

Not satisfied with my cake only, went to 7 11 to check out, nothing much, went to Cold Storage, ended up buying my favourite Dorito Cool Ranch chip, wanted Ruffles either cheese with sour cream or BBQ, but Mr Cloudz said "So many chips!!!!", so i ended up buying cheese rice cracker by Wang Wang (i think) instead. And a small Doritos cheesier. I said it was for the Bali trip :P heh. Bought a fish fillet from macs and i was eating in the car. Then bought like 2 delifrance pies (chicken and tuna & mushroom ) for S$4.10 (supposedly on offer) at the petrol station while he was topping up the petrol. Then came the stuuuuupid glass incident...

Yep, tmr Friday till Tues my training day have work. I was so blur i forgot i had training on Tuesday, and straight after that i have to leave for the airport to Bali..how blur i am...anyway that date had the special offer tics. Well last week of work b4 i can get to enjoy my holidays finally...hope my work time will fly past, and go slower during my hols hehe.
