Just had a late lunch with my family at the infamous red light district Geylang. But it's said that Geylang is a food paradise in SG. Apparently Greg (b'dae bro) knows the boss and he pre-ordered 2 crabs and 1 Soon Hock (Goby?) fish-Black peppered, Tang Hoon (vermicelli) and fried respectively. It was about 230pm and we were starving at home waiting to go out for our late lunch ard 3pm...
The boss Jason, Greg told me, was an ex air-steward with SIA. And i couldn't believe my ears when my mum told me he looks like my fiance...i was like HUH?!?!??! Er No.....my fiance looks younger and doesn't lose to him in the looks dept :P Fairly speaking...altho u may think im biased...well, im quite a frank and unbiased person :P K anyhow, Jason was like "You guys having high tea now?" and no one heard his question apparently. I answered "It's our late lunch". He said "You guys came at the right time, whereby there's nobody now.....next time 6 million ppl in S'pore have to fight for everything including food..." Ok....i carried on with my food.
The vermicelli (glass noodle) was surprisingly very yummy....usually im not into it, but today's crab vermicelli was very good, and we finished it in no time. Greg told me he saw them put Marmite into it...and the crab roe was very big and prominently scattered in the dish. Greg also ordered wasabi prawns...i tot it's the usual mayonnaise with wasabi prawns, but this time didn't like the prawns coz they tasted overdone...bitterish. Dad ordered a Penang Char Kway Teow. Pretty nice, just that didn't have dad's favourite Hum (cockles) and lime to squeeze over.
So full...guess have been feasting from time to time lately, especially when it's 23 days to my wedding :P
Morning was forcing myself to do lesson plans in advance for teachers relieving my music classes. Left about 2 more lesson plans to do for them, and 2 more for myself when i come back from honeymoon in mid Nov...Last night was organizing my guest lists into table groups.
