Budgeted annual dinner-Church choir

After my long session of my grp classes today, went back to Mr Cloudz to bathe and change b4 going for the annual dinner of my church choir.

Previously the earlier years it was held at M Hotel which was quite nice, and last year's at Changi Village Hotel. This year due to budget constraints, they held it at a Civil Service Centre opposite the Changi Hotel as mentioned, and it was a small function room next to the pool.

Theme this year due to budget, was called Kampung (like Malay village-simple life). Had a nicer tie dye dress but i left it at my own house. So wore something my MIL gave me (who knows it might be for pyjamas wear :P)

This year all the priests invited did not come, they were joking tat it's becoz this year was not held at a hotel. So we just started eating after a short prayer (Say grace), and proceeded to the buffet. Was eating halfway of my samosa (triangular shaped fried dough filled with curry potatoes mainly) when i realised i could take a food photo...so here's my untidy plate of food

While finishing our food, we began a game of BINGO whiwh was more fun than expected, especially when u pay $0.50 for 1 sht of Bingo paper to win the whole pool. Initially the 1st round must have 2 lines at least to win the pool. Come to the 2nd round, they changed the rules a bit and said person who get 1st line gets $2.00, then can carry on with winning the pool with 2 lines. In the end becoz of this new rule, i got BINGO 1st line and $2 which covered my cost of $1.50. Heard the 2nd round's pool was $14, i missed by just one number 2 sadly. But at least got back my cost :P

Later on we played Taboo in groups 'competing'. For lucky draw think the grand price was a hand held massager, and there were movie tickets, bottles of tequilas, CDs/DVDs, shirts, photo frames, beach mats, etc...Wanted the movie tics but got the beach mat instead. Perhaps can use them if i managed to go Bali this year.

Anyway here're my pals who are the committee and organized this as well

It was not bad an affair given the tight budget. Games were not corny this time.

And below are my friends as well, one of the couples in the choir. guy is the one who plays multiple instruments, is a medical doctor and does jazz gigs around.
