Day 3 Bali

This was a busy day. After our Indonesian breakfast (i had chicken porridge, and Mr Cloudz had noodles; and we decided American breakfast was better), i brought the phone numbers copied from SGbrides.com forum on Bali drivers to the reception and asked them to talk to the driver if he could pick us at 1130am. It was already ard 1020am. Fortunately, the driver Dewa was free and he arrived slightly earlier.

1st Stop-So went to Tanah Lot, at 1st i tot was a tall towering temple i tot i saw in an online person's album, but it turned out to be at a beach. Saw many beautiful coastlines this day. Just when i was about to wash my sandy feet in a pool of seawater, a Huge wave crashed till our knee level and Mr Cloudz' bermudas, shoes and socks were all drenched! Found a toilet for him to wash off the sand. In the end he bought a pair of slippers along the streets of Tanah Lot. About 1-2 plus after Tanah Lot, we left for Trattoria Italian restaurant which i read about online tat the food is good. At 1st saw the 1st site was closed, i was like huh??? Mr Cloudz said they prob only opened for dinner. Drove abit further up then saw the lunch site was open. They had 2 shops. Mr Cloudz ordered a seafood pasta which was not really to my liking, and i ordered a pizza called Capriccio i think. Crust was thin, crispy, the filling was hot, juicy and yummy. Nicer than pizzas i ate in Italy (see honeymoon photos http://cloudz7.multiply.com/photos/album/45/HoneymoonDay1RomeItaly onwards).

2nd stop: Driver brought us to Uluwatu which was fitting to our journey since last stop was Jimbaran. I tot Uluwatu was just another simple temple. Then to my shock when i entered, i saw monkeys! I wanted to avoid them coz i was afraid if they had rabies or weird diseases and/or suddenly bite me or snatch my stuff away. The driver warned me to remove my earrings in his so so english, and i didnt realise till i saw a sign. Luckily i used my hair to cover. So as u can see, the monkey photo was taken by chance. Another tourist threw food and voila we had 2 monkeys in my photo :) The coastline waves were beautiful just tat the waves were pretty ferocious generally in Bali, gd for wakeboarding perhaps in swimmable waters. Climbed some steps, felt a bit tired, lack of exercise :p We took much less time here, and left shortly. Driver brought us to some tourist shop ard the vicinity for souvenirs. And they were all marked up more as compared to Discovery Shopping Mall we went previously! Luckily we bought all alrdy and cheaper too :)

3rd & final stop: Reached Jimbaran at about 5 plus and it was blazing hot. We were early. Sun sets around 6 plus. So we walked along the beach and it was pretty crowded at the ends. Kids playing soccer, boats lined the beach, we also saw fighting wild dogs at the other end, bit scary. We finally went back to the restaurant where the driver dropped us, and ordered drinks while looking at wat to order for dinner. As u can see price list is in there. Not that cheap. Can say tat Singapore's East Coast hawker centre wun lose to theirs in terms of value for money and taste. Bill came up to about S$60 and we had a puny small crab as u can see, calamari (tastier in SG's East Coast food centre 1 stall), and bbq king fish. It was ok, but not very value for money. Guess we pay for the beach and sunset view while having our Jimbaran seafood dinner. A band came along and sang for us Yue Liang Dai Biao Wo De Xin when we said we were from Singapore...quite gd, but of course it's not free. They asked for tips by putting out a hat. After the dinner we went back to our villa. Tat sums up our busy day 3.
