6th Sept Thurs @ Summer Palace 3rd floor (6 pax)
Just came home from food tasting. Dishes were fine, except a tad too salty for the sharks fin with conpoy and bamboo pith, scallop & prawn ball with veg, and the roasted chicken with almond, garlic done "bi feng tang" style. Wanted to change the vegetarian goose in the 1st dish to prawn mayo salad. Luckily chef agreed. At the end he came out and asked us about the dishes and we gave our comments. Like the idea that the dessert is mango puree with sago and pomelo bits, it's refreshing and both sides' parents liked it.
My dad was late as usual, 745pm...luckily instead of 730pm....and he brought this old Gao Liang wine to let them drink...Only both sides' daddies drunk (pun intended :P) and in the end, my fiance and i had to drive both sides home respectively. And guess wat? The petrol was empty before we set out for The Regent. Luckily never broke down halfway the journey. Never knew that there was a Caltex at the end of Beach Rd after U-turn.
Anyway, during the dinner, Kiefer boy (fiance's youngest sis' baby) was having a hearty appetite and the hotel brought out plastic plates and cups for him, quite cute. He was really enjoying the food man, like a gourmet, except a messy one. Now he can say "Gu Gu, Ah Yi, Gong, Ah Ma" etc etc...Basically at this age, it's monkey see, monkey do. So adults have to be careful coz the kid will surely follow. He was pulling Ah Gu (uncle)-my fiance to see the misty glass which overlooks the swimming pool. Surprisingly, tat was the 1st time i actually saw Regent's pool...Cool....i tot dun have haha :PP
Okie, full from the foods, anyway on AD wun have much chance to eat properly also. Enjoy the photos~
