Yes it's one of my fav pastimes again...MOVIES
The Proposal
Here comes the bribe...
A pushy boss forces her young assistant to marry her in order to keep her Visa status in the U.S. and avoid deportation to Canada.
1st time seeing a woman kneeling to propose. And some guys dun even do that!!!! (Shame on them :P) Anyways, it's worth watching, farny and sad at times. What u expect in a love comedy. Funny thing, i dun find Ryan as attractive as he's tot to be...in fact i find the way his character speaks is pretty cutting at times...and reminds me of someone i dislike. Whereas Sandra has gotten on in years. Nevertheless, both of them were pretty gd in their own roles here.
And yesterday just watched Coco Chanel, was afraid my hubby would be bored since its the typical kind of French movie which goes a bit slowly...but i think the movie was not bad. Nice countryside setting. And yeps, the love stories of Gabrielle (her actual name. Coco was a dog's name in fact) and how she never got married, but was successful in building a fashion empire whereby the classic styles still persist till this very day (does that mean our fashion sense has not changed much? :P But at least its classic and elegant). She was beyond her time whereby women wore as much feathers as possible, and look like cakes/confectioneries in their dressings. Whereas Gabrielle dressed like a man, clean cut, straw hats, no feathers, simple yet stylish, and modern for her times. And women developed her style. It's like a biography story.
