My 1st visit to the Gynae

Both sides' internet's down again for a week! Fortunately Mr Cloudz side was up after the internet guy fixed his. Gotta catch up with 136 feeds now...panting

Just got back from the gynae, who's my dad's cousin's daughter-in-law. She's pretty, capable, hardworking, professional and approachable. Remembered i attended her wedding  when i was still studying.

Mr Cloudz and i went to KKH 1st for fear of jam during rush hour after work. We found the Premier Suite after a long stretch of shops just before 711. They had Macs and Delifrance there too. The premier suite was a nice long stretch with sofas and an instant coffee making machine/water dispenser. Registered 1st. There were a number of couples there already. After asking about my drug allergy and pregnancy history, they keyed in my details into my new appointment handbook. Was told to take a urine test, then take blood pressure 72, 114, followed by my weight and height. My weight was like lighter than my fat days!!! Imagine that ;p heh. After that we were called in, and Dr I saw my hubby and i, and told her assistant that she remembered me! And that my mum can sing very well, the later added, mi also...:p She did a scan, her assistant rubbed the liquid onto my tummy and she probed my tummy to do the scan. She showed me the foetus, the black area surrounding it was the water sac, which was surrounded by the womb. She said becoz my bladder was not full, couldnt have a clearer view, but at least could see the heartbeat. So i was told to drink more water and come in once i have the urge to go toilet.

So went out to drink at the water dispenser machine 2 cups of water, my dad asked me to drink 8 cups!!! I was like crazy....where got drink 8 cups at one go...it's a day, not one go. We returned outside her office and was told that she had to do a last min delivery. Wow she's really very busy, poor thing. Then saw my hp she smsed me to take my time since she had to do the delivery! I daren't msg back for fear it would disrupt her work. So dad asked us to go for dinner while waiting for her, he was full hence didnt follow us. In the end i wanted to go Macs to eat double cheeseburger and twister fries ;p Mr Cloudz wanted to forbid me from eating the very fried fries, but i still ate :P We took away a MacChicken and orange juice for dad, walked back and he called to say her assistant was looking for me. That was fast. He took the orange juice and we waited outside since there's a patient inside already. We were up next, and b4 tat overheard a very upset pregnant woman with her friend who was 10 mins after my appointment time. We all waited for about an hour, and she was upset coz she didnt eat her dinner n i guess she was not told Dr I had a last min delivery to do :p

Went in the 2nd time, then my dad this time also saw the more detailed scan since my bladder was full. This time she told me the baby was about 3 cm long, 10 weeks old, EDD (expected date of delivery) was 21st Aug 2008! And it's the same date as Mr Cloudz' Birthday!!! Wat coincidence. But of course that's just a rough guide, but still, very coincidental :) Dr I said the baby was healthy and moving! Mr Cloudz saw it jumped :p It seemed to know we are all discussing about it or maybe the probing disturbed it hehe. The 1st time i saw the baby during the scan, i was overwhelmed and felt tears....couldnt believe it. Reality finally hit me. I mean of course i already know, but it's just when it hits you...Mr Cloudz was saying i was using it as an excuse for not doing stuff already hee :p Was given calcium and multivitamins since i bought folic acid pills by my own already.

Just pray that God will take care of this baby that he or she would be healthy, well, happy and intelligent hehe :) Feeling pretty good after the visit. The next visit is in 3 weeks' time on Valentine's Day night!!! Anyway past few weeks felt nausea on and off, the worst was once when i vomitted fluids/acids between classes last Sunday. Hope it wun be too bad these upcoming weeks.
