My last day of holiday~

It's Monday and most ppl have started their 1st day of work after the Chinese New Year. However it's the last day of my holidays. Training starts tmr and i have a pte student at night at my own house at the East.

Went out to Plaza Singapura as i was craving for my dory fish in plum butter sauce (it's very yummy, must try!). But they had the lunch menu whereby the net price included the soup of the day and they didnt have my favourite plum butter dory on it. Saw the ala-carte price of the garden herb dory was the same as the plum butter dory, so i asked if could replace it with my fav. But the waitress said "cannot"?! Found it strange since prices were the same. So in the end i chose fish and chips but instead of chips i asked for a mixture of butter rice and chips. The whole set only cost S$9.90 before taxes! Really cheap as compared to Fish & Co! Had shrimp bisque for soup, and peach tea (so big cup, couldnt finish...). Stuffed...ended up taking away a bag of remaining chips and rice. Also wrote my feedback form about the same price issue and include my plum butter dory into the set lunch. See if they implement it in the future ;) Last time Fish & Co took my advice into account.

After that went to my company branch music store to look for exam books for my students, but it's been out of stock for months and will continue! Then looked at my favourite jazz section instead and found a book titled Great Jazz Piano Solos containing works by Diana Krall, Thelonious Monk, Dave Brubeck, Bill Evans, Oscar Peterson etc... Went to counter to ask if could book a studio, but they told me today holiday, closed for cleaning?!?! i was like HUH? the cleaning won't affect my playin?? Very strange but the stupid gal didnt allow. Walked off in dissatisfaction and found another side-lounge with a grand piano, decided to ask if could play on that or book a studio. The other gal said "sure why not?" so different! In the end i asked for a studio with a grand piano. Had a ball of a time playing the challenging but fun scores!!! Have not upgraded my skills lately, tats the minus point of teaching others-u upgrade others but not yourself, unlike a performer. Think spent a good 2 hr plus finishing almost the entire book, before going out to carry out my remaining mission.

Looking for Valentine's day gifts. Sadly this Thursday's V-Day, Mr Cloudz would be working OT coz it's peak period in audit now and i'd be going ALONE for my 2nd gynae visit :(  Anyway got him his favourite book vouchers from Times (got some from Kinokunya the other time :P) Ok i know its the easy way out, but at least he loves to visit these stores and vouchers are practical & his fav. Then bought a solid, relatively big card (not disclosing the love messages hehe, but mentions about To my Husband...).  Saw a shop Couple Lab with those silver accessories-couple rings, chains, etc filled with students. But guess rather not buy from such places :P

Then went to Carrefour wanting to buy chocolate to melt for my 1st attempt (again!) at making strawberry coated with chocolate. But only found the chocolate to melt, but No Strawberries!!! Awww man.....nmind, will hunt them this Thursday perhaps.

Saw the time was 5pm, decided to grab some small drinks/bites at the basement b4 going back to avoid the peak hr after work. Bought my tako balls (ham and double cheese) and bubble milk tea.

Tat pretty much sums up my day out alone today~
