Tuesdays if no training in mornings, i'm actually free the whole day till 1 student at night only. So today suggested going to one of my fav eating sites with my family. Mum, 2 brothers and i went, as dad was sound asleep. He takes super loooong to get ready, worse or comparable to a woman sometimes.....and im usually one of the fastest to get ready since i dun even put make up nor contacts when i go out nowadays.
Anyways, we went to Manhatten Fish Market restaurant @ Plaza Singapura which sells seafood platter, fish & chips, baked dory & the likes. It's worth it to go during lunch time as they have the set meals whereby u pay the ala carte price but get a soup and drink inclusive. This place is very similar to the restaurant Fish & Co, but i personally much prefer Manhatten coz the things are cheaper and nicer/same stuff (& Fish & Co dun have my favourite Baked dory in butter plum sauce). Today we ordered stuff which i never tried from the menu-namely Platter for 2-3 (which differs slightly from the ala-carte one). It includes a whole line fish (with bones which i dun like, but ordered for my mum), mussels, prawns, white bait fish and butter rice & chips; and a seafood pasta which is basically fried fish pieces with garlic cream fettucine, which i liked Was pretty full after that...and we ordered another dory fish & chips/rice set for my youngest bro who arrived later from sch. My mum then said she liked the fish and chip set which was the cheapest and most value for money on the menu. Tot she preferred fish with bones...so...
After our hearty lunch, went to basements to show my mum the various eateries, and i saw a new taiwanese stall which sold the supposedly authentic beef noodles according to my bro for SGD9.50. Mum said the real good ones in Taiwan only costs around $2.50. They also sold the famous (Chua bing) or ice desserts mainly mango & strawberry flavoured endorsed by the singer Jolin Tsai. After walking 1 round we went up to Carrefour to buy some groceries. We saw one huge fried dory fish fillet selling for only $3.5 i think, looks similar to the one we ate earlier on. But my dad just finished it for his very late lunch/dinner, so dunno if it's as good. Bought apple juice, baguette, Carrefour's pizza for my dinner (very cheap too), my hair conditioner and cant remember wat else.
Last stop, my long awaited Gelare waffles with ice-cream for dessert Youngest bro said there was a promotion of 3 scoops of ice-cream with waffles plus ice lemon tea for ard $13 plus. Chose Sticky chocolate with caramel, tiramisu and mum wanted vanilla flavour. Just nice, 4 of us divided the 4 sub-sections of the waffle and ate with the mixture of ice-creams. But after putting on my waffle and was mixed a bit, can't really tell the diff from the flavours :p
So full still and it's alrdy 610pm, dunno if i could eat dinner b4 my student comes at 8pm...
Anyway there's this irritating partially blind fella which commented on one of my youtube videos which i tot was an unfair statement-he claims i should use my ears more than my eyes for playing music. When that one video he saw was supposed to showcase my sight playing in 1 day and not my playing by ear, and i didnt improvised at all, and he claimed i did? Really weird, why should i lie for? I hammered him back saying that probably the score i played from was not the original score hence it's different, and maybe i should show him the score, but ops he's partially blind....Then i told him off by saying he's presumptious. Coz how can he use 1 video which i posted to judge how i play music from? There are loads of songs i play entirely by ear which he doesn't know ( i mean i wonder he even looked at my other videos which i played by ear and those videos are just a very small few which i play by ear, as if i'd post my entire collection online, so STUPID). Idiotic. I dun give a damn if you're partially blind, if you're blind to the actual facts, then i'd shoot you back of being overly presumptious-BLIND. He claims sight playing is cold and unfeeling, for my anger, i dare say becoz he can't play by sight, tats why he's feels it's cold and unfeeling. Wat about those pianists who play from score (either by memory or not) but still move the audience? Too bad for him, he can only use his ears. I use BOTH! And very well indeed. BLEH to him~!
