Athletes v. Cancer Recap

This past weekend, I made a trip up to the CA capitol to attend the Athletes vs. Cancer Celebrity Golf Tournament, hosted by Matt Barnes (Phoenix Suns) and Bobby Jackson (ex- Sacramento Kings). Packing all these appearances and events in 2 days was tiring, but it was well worth it. Flew into SFO Friday night, got picked up by our good friend Nina, and made the 2 hour drive over to Sacramento. Friday night, we attended the kick-off party for athletes and sponsors at the Thunder Valley Casino. Open-bar, combined with a pretty wild crowd of athletes and friends, turned into a crazy night of gambling, drinking, and 40 people trying to make their way back to the hotel. All this combined did not make for a fun 8am wake-up to head over to Woodcreek Country Club in Roseville. It ended up being a fun-filled day as Kallusive and NUVO (the sparkling champagne vodka) were in charge of the pit-stop at the 12th tee box (we also had a keg of Shock Top Ale to quench everyone's thirst). We had a great time pouring drinks, giving away some gear, and just enjoying the sun as each celebrity group came through our tent. We also had the privilege of hooking each star up with an awesome Kallusive tee for their gift bags and also a Kallusive prize pack for the silent auction. It was great to see the support from all over the NBA for the cause of fighting cancer!! Later that night we attended the official after-party at Treys in Sac. Ending up on Chris Weber's party bus back to the hotel, it capped off an amazing weekend with the Barnes family and the whole crew (I even missed my flight back to LA on Sunday)!!

What a crazy weekend it was, and we look forward to being a part of the event next year!!
