Since the start of the 100 day countdown to the Olympic Games, I’ve participated in many different Olympics related events in China. I recently took part in the opening ceremony and now it is finally time to perform in the closing ceremony. To prepare for the August 24th closing ceremony performance, we especially came here a week earlier than scheduled for preparations, rehearsal and song recording. I even had the chance to watch the athletics and soccer events at the Birds Nest Stadium during my spare time.

I’ve always been thinking to myself, “I hope I get to watch the games during the Olympics in Beijing and experience a bit of that Olympics flare…” Wow! I’ve finally succeeded! What’s more exciting is that I took part in the opening and closing ceremonies for the games, and performed together with a group of friends. On top of that, the China team’s achievements at the Olympic Games this year was outstanding and exceptional. I’m honestly extremely happy! For the closing ceremony performance today, I intentionally chose to wear a short red qipao as my show of support for the China team. In the eyes of Chinese people, red represents “luck”, and it also carries the implication of success for the 2008 Olympic Games. So meaningful!

While I was watching the competitions, I could deeply sense the unity of Chinese people and the spirit of the Games. Everyone did the Mexican wave and supported the athletes from their respective countries; this is the most important element called Olympic Spirit!

從奧運100天倒數開始, 參與了國內不同的奧運預備活動, 剛參與完開幕式, 終於到了閉幕式演出. 為了準備8月24日的閉幕演出, 我們特地早了一個星期過來作準備, 進行錄音及綵排等工作. 更有機會趁空檔到鳥巢欣賞田徑及足球比賽等項目...

我一直也在想"希望奧運期間能到北京欣賞比賽, 感受一下這股奧運熱..." 嘩, 我終於成功了! 更開心的是我能參與開幕+閉幕盛典,與一眾好友一起演出. 加上中國隊在今年的奧運比賽中有超水準的成綪, 真的超開心啊! 今天的閉幕演出, 我特意挑了一條紅色的短旗袍為中國隊打氣, 紅色在中國人眼中代表"幸運", 更寓意2008的北京奧運完滿及成功, 多有意義呀!

在現場看比賽時, 我更深深感受到中國人的團結及奧運會的精神, 大家一起玩人浪, 一起為各國健兒打氣,這才是最重要的奧運精神吧!
