Right now I feel so excited, because I want to formally introduce my first cover album. At the same time《Sing a Song While Beating a Hand-drum》is the first single from my first digital album《Hui Wei》. This familiar song that I sang may seem a little unexpected? In fact the excitement I feel now is just like this song. Hope that everyone can join me in sharing this new work. This song is really most suitable to be a prologue!

This folk song full of distinctive new boundaries, was written by the famous Chinese composer Mr. Shi Guang Nan from the 70's, and is full of sentiments of the people's ardent love towards their motherland. I already had a previous meeting with this song years ago; in 2002 I participated in the Folk Song Music Festival held in Nanning. That time the production unit wanted me to perform this song, thus I came to know this song. And it was also my first time performing on stage, bringing everyone a different surprise. What touched me the most was the live audience who sang along with me, leaving me with a most unforgettable occasion.

This song is known to every household, it is full of joy and energy, letting people become easily infected by the happy atmosphere within the song! This time I hope to do more than performing some familiar songs but allow everyone to once again realize the ability of music to bring us happiness. In regards to the arrangement, we kept the original folk style of music and also added new contemporary elements. It sounds more rhythmic. Sing together with me, the atmosphere will definitely liven up when we are in the same rhythm! Searching related information, "Sing a Song While Beating a Hand-drum" has also been formally included as a part of language teaching resource, spreading to the nation's foundation of teaching, and happens to mark that this song will grow up with the next generation. Producing "Sing a Song While Beating a Hand-drum" let me rediscover the joy that has been lost for a long time. During the recording process Karen ("Little Mok") & I shared some very happy times, there was no pressure at all. We both carried the same devotion to music. In the music arrangement I tried to keep the original "hand-drum" rhythm, and added some contemporary styles of music arrangement, giving everyone a new angle to listen from. I was captivated when I heard Karen's voice, especially when she was singing the sentence "I ride the horse crossing the mountain". I completely felt the song's happy-go-lucky country life feeling and immediately I became very broad-minded.|

我此刻的心情實在是太興奮了，因為我要跟大家正式介紹我第一張翻唱專輯，同時也是我第一張數位專輯《回蔚》的第一首歌曲《打起手鼓唱起歌》。這首耳熟能詳的歌由我來演唱大家可會有點意想不到呢？其實我現在興奮的心情就像這首歌一樣，希望大家一起和我分享這次的全新作品，以這首歌作為序幕實在最恰當不過！

這首富有濃郁新疆特色的民族歌曲，是於七十年代由中國著名的作曲家施光南先生所創作的，歌曲中充份表達出人民對祖國的熱愛。而我在多年前跟這首歌曲已經有過一段邂逅；在 2002年我參加過在南寧舉行的民歌音樂節，製作單位當時希望由我來演繹這首歌，所以亦因而認識到此曲，還第一次在舞臺上演繹，帶給大家一個不一樣的驚喜。最讓我感動的是在場的觀眾也跟著我一起唱，場面實在令我十分難忘。
