It was a busy week and I am still focusing all my attention to the post-production of my short film. It is almost done now and I'll certainly post up a trailer soon.
i went to see a Brighter Summer Day (牯嶺街少年殺人事件) last wednesday night and was little surprised that it was almost sold out, i mean, considering it's the middle of the week and its 4 hrs duration..
i saw this film many years ago on vcd, but i guess it was not the complete version and also its just totally different seeing it on the big screen... its just a flawless work and even though its 4 hrs long, it's so interesting that it never makes you feel bored, definitely one of the best films ever made and i wish they would release a restored dvd asap!
if you have read wendy cheng's blog, you'd probably know that i also met her during the fest. really enjoyed the conversation.. still amazed about the $30k budget.. wish i could raise that amount for my next film.. haha..
here is a pic:
btw, my friend Vivian has opened an account here, same as me she majored in films at berkeley and with great passion in filmmaking.. she has written and directed some shorts at school and this time she is acting in my short film. please go say hi to her and show some support!
Don't forget your dream!
