For those of you who haven’t heard yet, Daniel Wu, Asia’s most sought-after A-list film talents, introduced his first collection for Know1edge during a press conference at DNM yesterday. This most anticipated collection, was inspired by his hometown San Francisco. His background in architecture is evident through the clean lines and classic structures of the cut & sew pieces. Through each item connected to a memory of a place that was special to him, Daniel takes us on a tour of his Bay Area using clothing as the vehicle. The media was curious to know, how much of the actual design process Daniel was involved in. Well, I'd like to clarify that by adding my two cents in. I've worked with many artists in the past who have been interested more in the end result than the tedious process to perfecting ones craft. This was not the case for Daniel. From the beginning steps to every last detail, Daniel had a definite direction of what he wanted to do with his collection. He was completely hands on and proved to us that he was talented, and creative. His determination to learn and challenge himself to the fullest explains why he is where he is today.A big thank you to all who attended the press conference yesterday. Your support means so much to us! Thank you to Daniel for all your hard work in making it happen. It was a pleasure to work with you!In stores December 18th, 2008Available at 8FIVE2SHOP/8FIVE2.com, and DNM, Causeway BayKnow1edge by Daniel Wu Holiday 2008 Collection.
