Stay COOL, be CALM. ‘Tis CHRISTMAS, a SEASON for EVERYTHING.

IN the distance, you can hear the faint calls of thunder as they rumble,

And if you strain your ears hard enough, they do sound like musical notes ….

starting slowly, then pitching to a crescendo,

The thunders roll like the wailful cries of banshees

accompanied by the dramatic clashes of lightning,

If a true picture can paint a thousand words, then here’s the scenario:

Dark clouds are speedily gathering against the darkening sky

and you can savor strong wifts of impending rain,

Birds are courageously taking flight against strong winds,

GLOOM OR DOOM?

I wonder as the DECEMBER rains pelter down incessantly.

CHRISTMAS Day is just round the corner

Nah, you don’t need to be a Christian to bask in the warmth and joy of the Yuletide season,

FOOD for thought:

The BUDDHIST teachings extoll that human beings are used to seeing external training that we forget inner training, the training of ourselves.

We like to train other people and forget to train ourselves,

We tend to take it for granted that we are always right, and others are in the wrong.

The BIBLE preaches that there’s a time for everything in our lives:

A time to be born, and a time to die, a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted,

A time to kill, and a time to heal, a time to break down, and a time to build up,

A time to weep, and a time to laugh, a time to mourn, and a time to dance,

A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together, a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing,

A time to get, and a time to lose, a time to keep, and a time to cast away,

A time to rend, and a time to sew, a time to keep silence, and a time to speak,

A time to love, and a time to hate, a time of war, and a time of peace.

As we approach CHRISTMAS, let’s do our bit to heal the world.

A small deed to help a needy neighbour, a sparkling smile and warm embrace can work wonders,

All men are brothers,

AND KINDNESS TRANSCENDS CREEDS AND RELIGIOUS BELIEFS,

‘Tis a season of  loving and giving,

IT’S A SEASON FOR EVERYTHING.
