##“THE INTERNSHIP” PRESS PREVIEW
Don’t expect this movie to kick off with a big wham bang.
It does not, but it survives its welcome, nonetheless.
”THE INTERNSHIP” is an entertaining, goofy piece of gem that might well warm your heart amid uplifting your spirit after a hard day’s grind.
There’s a lot more going if you are prepared to dig deeper.
So go for it.
OWEN WILSON and VINCE VAUGHN happily make a come-back with this bromance comedy, after almost a decade since their last sex ribbing farce “Wedding Crashers.”
Directed by Shawn Levy and co-written by Vince Vaughn and Jared Stern, “THE INTERNSHIP” features Vaughn and Owen Wilson as Billy and Nick, two irritating fast talking watch salesmen who are laid off when their company closes.
Whilst googling for job possibilities, Billy discovers the Google has plans for a summer internship program.
And after passing the required-webcam interview, the duo find themselves at Google HQ in Palo Alto, competing against dozens of teenage tech-savvy geniuses.
The middle aged pair found themselves caught in a pandemonic team headed by nerdy leader Lyle (Josh Bremer) alongside brainy outsiders Stuart (Dylan O’Brien), Neha (Tiya Sircar) and Yo-Yo (Tobit Raphael).
In every good there’s always the bad, therefore we have a scheming trouble seeking intern Graham (Max Minghella) who is determined to take them down.
As time wears on, the unlikely friendships are tried and forged.
The plot may be cliched and formulaic, but it does have a heart and some soul in the right place.
Sweet, hilarious and heart-warming are superlatives to describe this movie.
And thank goodness that it is an enjoyable movie, unlike the regular slapstick that makes no sense.
