Directors that inspire me!

1.) Jean Luc Godard, George Lucas

For those that are thinking "Hey Jean Luc Godard and George Lucas are pretty different."  Well they are when it comes to personal style.  However, these directors inspire me because they both have care less attitude towards what people think about their works.  George Lucas in an 60mins interview mentioned that he will soon focus his career making smaller movies.  May I remind everyone that George Lucas is still an independent filmmaker as of today (of course the most successful and wealthiest of us all).  If you have not watched Godard's film then maybe you should.  What inspired WKW for his outrageous film editing style and inspired directors around the world to wear Ray Ban glasses...  Yup all came from Jean Luc Godard.

2.) Steven Soderbergh

When it comes to Soderbergh, most people can only think of Ocean Eleven.  But he also made several wonderful films such as Traffic, Sex, Lies, and Videotape, Bubble, Erin Brockovich, etc...  Also a director who is known to disregard conventional rules and styles of hollywood filmmaking.

3) Wong Kar Wai

No need to say much about him.
