Readers of my blog: "What? He's not even done with post on his latest and he still has to do
pre-pro with ah Chit. What da F(( is he doing?
True, true, true enough. That's filmmaking. Non-stop. What can I say. Got a lot to say. I estimate that LFN will be done soon enough. After all I am just waiting for the score and the VO. Then it's final cut (no advertising intended).
I am planning a new film that is not quite myself actually. Something that will be more like a feature. I plan to talk about my heritage as a Chiu Chow chinese. No..... not talking about mobs and cocaine. I want to focus about the Chiu Chow family. I want to talk about being a son in a Chiu Chow family. The story will take on two generations. The first being a much shorter part then the second. For I want to focus more about the contemporary Chiu Chow family.
I owe a few actors a few roles, and this is a good time to return this to them. I will be casting a great number of people. The shoot will take a a long time. I don't plan to shoot until next winter. But the pre-production will start soon after ah Chit's film. I want to take more time into pre-production (ouch.,... this is definately gonna cost me. There goes my car). Doing the proper research, casting, and locations search. Also I want to spend a lot more time with the score. It will be my biggest project yet and hopefully you all will like it.
